When you shave for an extended period, your skin will eventually develop bumps (chicken skin). They can be itchy, embarrassing and uncomfortable. These bumps over time may develop ingrown hairs if the hair is stuck in between the dermis area and it will cause infection resulting in a pimple-like appearance like an abscess. It is a painful collection of pus, usually caused by a bacterial infection. Waxing removes the hair from the hair follicle freeing the pores. FAQs on Waxing

This is my first time doing Brazilian waxing or Body waxing, is it painful?

The process of waxing is removing hair from your body. There will be a slight discomfort however bearable. It is because the quality of our waxes is formulated for that purpose, it grips the hair leaving the skin untouched.

How long (length of hair growth) should the hair be upon waxing?

For the wax to be able to grip the hairs, hairs should be approximately 5mm prior to waxing. Because we use premium strips and hard waxes, they are designed to grip the hair effectively, removing it safely from the skin.

How frequent should I wax?

It depends on your hormone levels, ethnicity, and how long you can withstand hair stubbles. It also depends on your hair growth rate. Everyone has different hair growth cycles. Typically it is about 3 to 5 weeks intervals.

Why should I wash the Brazilian area before waxing?

For hygiene purposes, all private areas should be washed before your waxing session. Washing it with lukewarm water also allows the pores to be relaxed, hence you will feel minimal discomfort. Our bidet is conveniently located within the salon. We provided cleansers as well specifically for the Brazilian/Boyzilian area.

Can I wax my Brazilian when I have my period? (for female customers)

For hygiene purposes, we don't recommend it. During your menstrual cycle, areas are more sensitive (more painful). Bacterias are active and may get into the open pores causing unnecessary infections. This includes sanitary pads as well as tampons.
